Eastern equine encephalitis(EEE)is a zoonotic disease caused by the Eastern equine encephalitis virus(EEEV) and primarily transmitted through arthropod vectors. The infection can cause severe neurological diseases and mortality in horses, humans, and other vertebrates, posing a serious threat to both the equine industry and public health. In recent years, cases of EEEV infection have been reported in multiple regions worldwide, highlighting the need for enhanced epidemic prevention and control. Although vaccination remains a key preventive strategy,no licensed vaccine is currently available. This paper reviews recent research directions and progress in EEEV vaccine development, aiming to provide references for future vaccine research and disease control efforts.

Chikungunya fever is an acute mosquito⁃borne infectious disease caused by the Chikungunya virus(CHIKV) and transmitted primarily by Aedes mosquitoes. The main clinical manifestations include fever, rash, and joint and muscle pain. The disease exhibits distinct epidemiological features and urban transmission cycles, posing a high infection risk to human populations. Factors such as viral genetic mutations, accelerated globalization, and climate warming have driven the global spread of chikungunya fever in recent years. To date, chikungunya outbreaks have been reported in 119 countries and regions, with an estimated annual cumulative case count exceeding 500 000. Due to the absence of approved commercial vaccines or effective antiviral therapies,Chikungunya fever continues to pose a significant threat to human health, public health systems, and socioeconomic development. Currently, the global spread of chikungunya fever is becoming increasingly severe. Notably, the 2025 outbreak in Foshan,Guangdonglinked to imported cases and subsequent local transmission has underscored the urgent need for enhanced prevention and control measures in China. This paper systematically reviews the global and domestic epidemiological status of chikungunya fever, its transmission routes and local transmission characteristics, underlying mechanisms and influencing factors,as well as comprehensive prevention and control strategies. The study aims to provide valuable insights for the scientific prevention and control of epidemic importation and spread in China and for safeguarding public health.

Pseudorabies, also called Aujeszky 's disease,is a highly contagious disease caused by pseudorabies virus (PRV). In the absence of a specific host, pseudorabies virus can invade the body of a variety of mammals, including pigs, cattle, sheep, etc.,which leads to severe clinical symptoms and acute death in susceptible animals. The existence of porcine pseudorabies was first reported in China in the 1950s,and since 2011,new porcine pseudorabies variants have emerged in some areas, resulting in serious economic losses to the pig industry. Although scientists have been working on the design of diagnostic methods and the development of related vaccines, pseudorabies is still widespread in the pig industry, and its discovery in recent years that it also has potential problems for human health has aroused strong concern in the world. At present, pseudorabies vaccine is widely immunized in pig farms in China,so it is very important to detect the antibody level produced by the vaccine after immunization. In this paper, the current antibody detection methods for PRV will be summarized, and their advantages anddisadvantages will be compared and analyzed in order to provide a reference for the selection of antibody detection methods on pig farms.

Immune colloidal gold diagnostic technology is an in vitro diagnostic technique using colloidal gold as a tracer marker applied to antigens and antibodies. It has the advantages of rapid response, simple operation, low cost and portability. At present, immune colloidal gold diagnostic technology is widely used in hospitals, laboratories, field and public places on ? site diagnosis. This paper introduces the basic principle, advantages and disadvantages of immune colloidal gold diagnostic technology, and discusses the application research status of two main methods of immune colloidal gold diagnostic technology?immunochromatography and dot immunogold filtration in animal medical diagnosis at home and abroad.

The complete genome sequences of 42 PRRSV strains derived from Guangdong and completerecombination events occurred in the parental strain of JXA1?R?CN?2009 from 2010 to 2018. Vaccine strains Ingelvac ATP?US?2006 and CH?1R?CN?2008 appeared as secondary parental strains in event 10,the recombinant strain of this event was Guangdong strain isolated from 2018. Recombination between vaccine strains can be seen in events 18,25, but the software also shows that this event may have evolved naturally rather than recombined. This paper has certain significance for the scientific and standardized use of modified live vaccines in Guangdong pig farms. sequences of 6 PRRSV vaccine strains were selected from all 424 PRRSV complete sequences available on GenBank database to carry out recombination analysis using RDP4(Recombination detecting program 4,RDP4) software. Recombination events between Guangdong strains were found to be concentrated in 2010,2011 and 2015. 12
