Abstract: Gardenia jasminoides，as a functional feed ingredient，is rich in conventional nutritional components， including carbohydrates，proteins，minerals，and fatty acids，as well as bioactive compounds such as iridoids， carotenoids，and polysaccharides. Studies have shown that dietary supplementation with gardenia or its extracts can improve animal growth performance，enhance the quality of meat and eggs，and strengthen antioxidant capacity and immune function. This review summarizes the conventional and bioactive constituents of gardenia and their applications in animal production，providing a reference for further development and utilization of this resource in sustainable and healthy animal husbandry.

摘要： 栀子作为功能性饲料原料，富含碳水化合物、蛋白质、矿物质和脂肪酸等常规营养成分以及环烯醚萜类、类胡萝卜素和多糖类等活性成分。研究表明，饲喂栀子及其提取物能够提高动物生长性能、肉蛋品质、抗氧化能力及免疫能力。该文对栀子的常规营养成分和活性成分及其在动物生产中的应用进行综述，旨在为栀子的进一步开发利用及其在动物健康养殖中的应用提供参考。
