Abstract: As an important growth engine in the new consumption sector，the pet economy in China has gradually developed into a hundred?billion?yuan industrial scale. Based on the actual development of China’s pet economy，this paper systematically reviews its development history，market structure，and core characteristics at each stage， summarizes industry data and cases， and identifies prominent problems constraining industrial development， including imperfect industry standards，weak core technologies and insufficient industrial chain coordination. In line with industry development trends，this paper proposes targeted countermeasures for high?quality development，aiming to provide theoretical references and practical support for the optimization of the pet economy industrial chain，the formulation of industry policies，technological research and development in animal husbandry and veterinary?related fields，and the innovative development of the industry．
